The Panama Council of the Navy League of the United States is one of 300 Councils Worldwide of the Navy League which was founded by President Theodore Roosevelt at beginning of the 20th Century. The Navy League, with over 70,000 members, is unique among military oriented associations in that it is a 100% civilian organization dedicated to the education of the public on the importance of the maritime sector in the world and in support of the sea services of the United States and other countries. The Panama Council of the Navy League was chartered in 1961 and for 43 years has supported maritime activities in the Republic of Panama including the Escuela Nautica de Panama and the Servicio Maritimo de Panama, as well as the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, the Coast Guard and the Merchant Marine. Membership in the Panama Council is open to persons of any Nationality who are interested in Marine Affairs. You need not have served in the Military to be a member of the Navy League.
Annual Dues are US$50.00 per person or family. Benefits of membership in the Panama Council of the Navy League include the following:
